Water Lily Reflections Original Watercolor Bookmarks

My water lily obsession continues. After taking a Painting Like Monet course earlier this year, I apparently decided I could never paint enough water lilies—and this set is the latest result.

I started with one larger watercolor painting filled with colorful water, soft cloud reflections, and scattered lily pads, then cut the finished painting into six individual bookmarks. Because each bookmark comes from a different section of the original painting, every one is completely unique. Some feature deeper turquoise water, others soft reflected clouds, pinks and purples, and each has its own arrangement of water lilies.

Each bookmark is painted on Arches 140 lb cold-pressed watercolor paper using professional-quality watercolor paints. The reverse is also hand-painted with a coordinating blue-to-purple watercolor wash and individually signed.

Both sides are sealed with Dorland’s Wax Medium, which provides added protection while preserving the natural matte look and texture of the watercolor paper. Each bookmark is finished with a coordinating tassel and comes with a protective bookmark sleeve.
